Description
Job DescriptionThe Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a pulmonary and critical care physician for our expanding Academic Interventional Pulmonology program. This position will cover both day shifts and weekend shifts on our Interventional Pulmonary service at the University of Maryland Medicine Center, the University of Maryland Midtown Campus, the Baltimore Veteran Administration Medical Center, and the Capital Region Health Center locations for half of their time on faculty. The other half of the position will be working within our University of Maryland Medical Center MICU, University of Maryland Midtown Campus MICU, or the University of Maryland IMC Unit. The division has designed this role as ideally 50% Interventional Pulmonary and 50% Pulmonary/Critical Care.

Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $202,500 (min) and $325,000 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department.
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

Qualifications
Applicants must be BE/BC in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine, have at least one year of fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology and a strong interest in teaching and clinical research. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent) and all applicants must be eligible to obtain an independent license to practice Medicine in the State of Maryland.
