The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) School of Medicine Department of Surgery is recruiting an Academic Vascular Surgeon. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong clinical capabilities in the field of vascular surgery and endovascular therapy. The candidate will play a vital role in the growth and development of care in the Rio Grande Valley and have a passion for pursuing academic vascular surgery. Responsibilities include clinical care for vascular surgery patients, teaching medical students and residents. A track record of academic productivity is required, as the candidate will be involved actively in the research and academic mission of the Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

MD degree with current Board certification, or eligibility for certification in Vascular Surgery. Must possess or be eligible for a Texas Medical Board full license/ABS board certification from a Vascular Surgery Fellowship / Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency and completed an ACGME accredited residency program and qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery at the UTRGV School of Medicine and appropriate hospital staff appointments.
