Miraval Berkshires Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced and emotionally intelligent Assistant Director of Integrative Wellbeing to support the leadership, operations, and continued evolution of our wellness programming. Partnering closely with the Director of Wellbeing, this role helps lead a multidisciplinary team while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and a deeply supportive colleague culture.
The Assistant Director will oversee daily operations across multiple wellbeing modalities including outdoor adventure, equine experiences, farm and garden, fitness, yoga, meditation, creative expression, and spirit & soul programming. This leader will play an important role in maintaining operational excellence while also contributing to innovation and program development that keeps Miraval's offerings fresh, meaningful, and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Support leadership and operational oversight of the wellbeing division, guiding a team of approximately 70 colleagues across multiple program disciplines.
- Ensure seamless execution of daily programming while maintaining the highest standards of guest experience.
- Foster a culture grounded in empathy, collaboration, and authentic care for colleagues and guests.
- Partner in the development of new wellness experiences through creativity, innovation, and thoughtful program design.
- Utilize participation data and operational insights to analyze program performance, identify guest engagement trends, and inform future programming decisions.
- Oversee operational logistics including scheduling coordination, materials ordering, and departmental support.
- Contribute to financial management through budgeting support, cost awareness, and payroll processes.
- Maintain clear communication and strong organizational structure across diverse teams.
- Demonstrate adaptability and strong problem-solving in a dynamic resort environment.
- Support operational coverage including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

- Leadership experience within luxury hospitality, wellness, or resort environments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams with emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and approachability.
- Highly motivated with a proactive, go-getter mindset and the confidence to take initiative and try new ideas.
- High energy, resilient, problem-solving mindset, comfortable stepping into new challenges with a solutions-oriented attitude.
- Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative wellness experiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate program performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Strong organizational, operational, and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
- Preferred Experience
- Experience working with Book4Time scheduling module
- Payroll experience preferably with UKG/Kronos.
- Background in the outdoor adventure industry specifically with ropes course experience.
