The Golf Club at Lansdowne is excited to announce a career opportunity for an Assistant Golf Professional to join our professional staff. This role is ideal for a motivated golf professional seeking hands-on experience in a high-end, fast-paced golf environment. The Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to members and guests, with a primary focus on managing and executing tournament operations for outside corporate outings and in-house resort groups. In addition, this position will be actively involved in all aspects of the golf operation, including daily operations, staff supervision, merchandising, instruction, and member engagement.

Experience Required

• College degree preferred.
• Previous golf industry experience required, with a strong understanding of daily golf operations
• Experience in tournament operations and large corporate or member outings strongly preferred
• Minimum PGA Level 1 Associate preferred (or actively pursuing PGA Membership)
• Proficiency in Golf Genius tournament software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for delivering exceptional member and guest experiences

Essential Responsibilities

• Execute large corporate and group golf outings, ensuring seamless event operations from start to finish
• Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients and outing organizers, delivering exceptional service and communication throughout the event process.
• Create and manage event materials such as scorecards, cart signs, scoreboards, and pairings using Golf Genius tournament software
• Oversee on-course event logistics, including signage placement, hole contests, pace of play, and scoring
• Collaborate with F&B, grounds, and resort teams to ensure smooth coordination and a premium experience for all guests
• Assist with daily golf operations, including opening and closing procedures, tee sheet management, member and guest check-in, and pace-of-play monitoring
• Supervise, train, and support outside services staff, promoting high service standards and teamwork
• Support the merchandising operation through sales, inventory management, and visual presentation in the golf shop
• Provide golf instruction and player development programs as appropriate for members and resort guests
• Represent The Golf Club at Lansdowne and Troon with professionalism, enthusiasm, and hospitality at all times
