Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Clinical Instructor (Part-Time)
UMI is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) to join our team as a Clinical Instructor, working with students in a hands-on training environment using real patient cases within a non-profit clinical setting.
This is a teaching-focused role where faculty guide students through progressive clinical training—from foundational skills to more advanced scanning in preparation for clinical internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide students during live patient ultrasound exams
- Provide instruction in image acquisition, patient positioning, and clinical workflow
- Support progressive student participation (observation, assisted scanning, focused exams)
- Train students following UMI’s clinical curriculum and protocols
- Review student work and support preparation for radiologist submission

Schedule
Part-time (up to 28 hours/week)

Qualifications
- Active sonography credentials (ARDMS, ARRT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Interest in teaching and mentoring
- Preferred: Master’s degree, additional specialties (e.g., RDCS), prior teaching experience
