Description
Baystate Health is seeking a qualified psychiatrist for a one-year, full-time, ACGME-accredited Consultation-Liaison (C-L) Psychiatry Fellowship.
The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellow will receive advanced clinical training in the psychiatric care of medically complex patients within a large academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center. The role emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, consultation psychiatry, teaching, and professional development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric consultation services for hospitalized medical and surgical patients and outpatients
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary care teams including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Participates in inpatient consultation rounds and treatment planning
- Documents clinical encounters in the electronic medical record in accordance with institutional policies
- Attends and participates in required didactics, conferences, and educational activities
- Participates in teaching activities involving residents and medical students, as assigned
- Engages in scholarly activity and quality improvement initiatives consistent with fellowship training requirements
- Complies with all Baystate Health policies, procedures, and Graduate Medical Education requirements
Training Environment

Compensation & Benefits:
Fellows are compensated according to the Baystate Graduate Medical Education institutional salary scale (2025–2026):
PGY-5: $85,200

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency by fellowship start date
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interest in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
- Experience working in inpatient or medically complex care settings
- Interest in teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration
