Description
The Deputy Executive Director (DED) serves as the second-in-command to the Executive Director and provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, policy direction, and organizational management across all major functions of the Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority (HRHA) including: Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8), Community Development, Real Estate Development, Finance Alignment, Asset Management, and Human Resources.
This position ensures HRHA’s programs, services, business operations, and development initiatives align with HUD requirements, Board policy, and the long-term strategic goals of the Authority and the City of Hampton
The Deputy Executive Director acts as the Executive Director in their absence and provides management-level guidance, problem-solving, and decision-making authority for internal operations and external partnerships.
