Overview

The Director of Golf is responsible for managing and enhancing the golf experience at Green Woods Country Club. This role oversees all golf operations, focusing on operational management, staff leadership, and delivering exceptional customer service to members and guests.

Experience Required

• PGA Membership or PGA Associate is Preferred but not required
• Experience or a proven trajectory in managing customer-facing operations.
• Proven budget management and financial monitoring skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• A track record of growing and supporting a customer base.

 

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Management:  Oversee all golf operations, including the pro shop, tee times, and club assets. Manage the daily finances, cash receipts, and ensure all systems and vendor relationships are maintained. You will also create and distribute member communications, manage social media, and provide comprehensive monthly reports to the Board of Directors.
• Pro Shop and Inventory:  Manage all golf shop operations, including purchasing inventory, setting sale prices with the Board of Directors, and maintaining accurate inventory controls.
• Staff Leadership:  Hire, train, and manage all golf operations staff. This includes creating schedules, assigning tasks, and conducting regular meetings and evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
• Customer Service:  Foster a welcoming environment and ensure an outstanding experience for every member and guest. This includes keeping all areas clean and well-maintained and collaborating with committees to improve club operations and grow the customer base.

Golf Course Management:  Oversee the daily pace of play, manage leagues, and run all tournaments from start to finish. This includes communicating and working with the course superintendent to ensure a high-quality experience
