Description
OverviewClub Description : The Bridgewater Club is the centerpiece of a 750 acre upscale residential golf course community located in Carmel and Westfield, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, Indiana. The Bridgewater Club boasts multiple high end facilities that make the Club feel more like a private resort then a traditional private country club. The golf facilities are some of the most complete anywhere in the mid-west. The centerpiece is the championship Pete Dye designed golf course which recently went under a comprehensive renovation and restoration which included rebuilding the greens, green complexes and bunkers. The Championship Course is scheduled to reopen in May, 2026. In addition, the Club has a six-acre shortgame area and a nine-hole executive course that has eight par threes and a par four allowing members to hit every club in their bag. The driving range is annually recognized by GRAA as a top 50 practice facilities for private clubs in the country. Boasting a double sided driving range that is 300+ yards from tee to tee, 12 heated hitting stalls and four tee boxes with both bentgrass and bermudagrass for practice. The indoor facilities include a Southwest turf putting green, two Trackman simulators and a third popup simulator for the winter months. Having both covered and indoor practice facilities ensures that rain or shine, hot or cold you can always teach and practice at the Club year round. Separate from the golf facilities, the Club has six pickleball courts, six tennis courts, an outdoor pool, a 90,000 square foot clubhouse which encompasses six banquet/meeting rooms; a full service dining room; 3 seasonal outlets; indoor pool; fitness center; multiple locker rooms, saunas and steam rooms.
The club has 1400 memberships and played 27,000 rounds in 2024 (2025 was a partial year of operations due to the renovation) and 12,000 rounds on the Executive Course. A variety of membership options are available for both full golf and social memberships. The club offers a full schedule of member activities and events, and also hosts approximately 5 outside group outings. The golf staff includes 20+ full time and part time employees, including three assistant golf professionals, part time merchandiser and a full-time teaching professional.

Experience Required
Qualifications
- PGA Class A member in good standing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven record of providing superior customer service
- Experience in all aspects of golf operations, with experience at a similar private club preferred
- 5 years' experience as a Head Professional or Director of Golf preferred
- Ability to develop and promote activities to generate member interest and participation
- Ability to utilize current golf-related computer applications
- Bachelors' degree preferred
Essential Responsibilities
Position Description : The Director of Golf will oversee all aspects of the golf shop operation and all related activities, with a focus on providing a consistently high standard of service to members and guests. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily golf operations and play
- Managing and promoting all golf activities and programs
- Training and supervising golf staff personnel
- Promoting and coordinating member tournaments and group outings
- Managing the retail merchandising program
- Overseeing the instruction program and providing lessons
- Coordinating the junior golf program
- Playing golf with members of all skill levels
- Administering The Rules of Golf and club policies
- Assisting with club business planning and budget management
- Assisting with club marketing and member recruitment programs
Benefits
The compensation package will include a base salary, plus income from lessons and a bonus.
