This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in shaping the future of digital investing and financial technology across Asia, excluding North Asia. What you'll do:
As Director of Institutional Sales, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around originating new business opportunities while nurturing existing strategic relationships across Asia. You will engage directly with institutional clients-banks, brokers, asset managers, wealth managers, and fintechs-promoting cutting-edge platforms that connect investors globally. Your role involves managing complex sales cycles from initial contact through negotiation and contract finalisation.
- Promote and sell advanced platforms and solutions to regional buy-side and sell-side customers such as banks, brokers, asset managers, wealth managers, and fintech clients throughout Asia (excluding North Asia).
- Strategically develop a portfolio of institutional B2B and B2B2C clients to achieve sustained revenue growth while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation through sales presentations, negotiation, contracting, and closing deals.
- Work collaboratively with pre-sales teams to ensure seamless deal closure and effective client onboarding.
- Coordinate client interactions within the firm by partnering with Customer Success and Sales Trading teams during onboarding, go-live phases, and ongoing account management.
- Deliver agreed revenue targets by preparing thorough account reviews and following up on detailed account plans.
- Focus on expanding client relationships by upselling additional services tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with marketing leadership to devise go-to-market strategies that promote offerings effectively across the region.
- Engage regularly with technology teams to ensure solutions meet industry standards and evolving customer requirements.
- Continuously assess market landscape and competition to advise management on market dynamics and recommend strategic changes.
What you bring:
In the Director of Institutional Sales role, your deep understanding of financial markets combined with hands-on experience in institutional sales will be crucial for success. Your ability to navigate brokerage infrastructure or trading technology environments enables you to identify opportunities for growth while maintaining high standards of service delivery. You are adept at fostering long-term relationships built on empathy and trust-qualities that resonate strongly within this organisation's collaborative culture.
- You bring 7 to 10+ years of experience in institutional sales within financial markets, brokerage infrastructure, trading technology or fintech environments.
- Your proven track record includes successfully selling trading platforms or capital markets solutions to financial institutions across Asia.
- You possess an extensive network among banks, brokers, fintechs, asset managers or wealth managers within the region.
- You demonstrate strong commercial acumen paired with excellent negotiation abilities that foster trust-based partnerships.
- Your communication skills are outstanding; you excel at building rapport with clients as well as collaborating internally across departments.
- You have managed complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders over extended periods.
- You are based in Singapore with flexibility for regional travel as required by business needs.
- You stay current with industry developments and can benchmark offerings against competitors effectively.
