The Secured and Unsecured Lending Director is an integral role within the HSBC UK Regulatory Compliance Team. The successful candidate will be managing a tea of Regulatory Compliance officers who cover secured and unsecured lending within RBW. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for oversight o regulatory compliance activities relevant to First Direct and M&S Bank.

In this role you will:
- Build, lead and support a team of Regulatory Compliance professionals across secured and unsecured lending.
- Provide advice and guidance to 1LOD stakeholders on Regulatory Compliance risks.
- Represent Regulatory Compliance and HSBC in external engagements with Regulators and Industry Associations.
- Identify, assess, report and escalate Compliance risks in the RBW business by executing the HSBC Risk Management Framework
- Attend Functional and Lines of Business governance meetings as relevant to their responsibilities or as a delegate to the Head of Regulatory Compliance.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience and knowledge on Secured and Unsecured Lending
- Excellent knowledge of Regulatory Compliance risks and issues including industry / regulatory tends, priorities and practices
- Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence and attain buy-in.
- Understanding of non-financial risk management framework and Regulatory Compliance policies within a Retail Bank.
- Thorough understanding of the RBW business model, including the operation of its products and channels.
This role can be based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds and Southampton on a hybrid working basis (three days in office)
