Description
Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp) is a provincial Crown corporation with a mandate to deliver large, complex infrastructure projects on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation and Transit. TI Corp also supports the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport (TACS) through the delivery of the Collections and Research Building Project, expanding its role across sectors while maintaining a core focus on transportation and transit infrastructure.
Originally established under the Transportation Investment Act, TI Corp was restructured by the Government of British Columbia to serve as a dedicated project governance and delivery organization. It is a subsidiary of the BC Transportation Financing Authority and is governed by a Board of Directors.
There is currently an exciting opportunity available with Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp) to lead the execution and delivery of some of the most high-profile public infrastructure projects in British Columbia. Reporting to a Vice President, Major Projects, the Executive Project Director is accountable for the successful oversight and execution of a multi-billion-dollar capital project.
The Executive Project Director provides senior level leadership and accountability for the end-to-end delivery of capital infrastructure projects, bringing hands-on experience in project execution to oversee contractors, manage risk and controls, and ensure schedules, costs, and on-the-ground delivery are effectively aligned and achieved. They will safeguard delivery within scope and budget, and in accordance with provincial and organizational expectations. This position is crucial to TI Corp achieving its mandate to deliver public infrastructure that is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with broader transportation goals.
The Executive Project Director will be an accomplished capital delivery leader with extensive experience managing the full lifecycle of large, complex infrastructure projects. They will have worked within organizational environments that require close collaboration with government, engineering teams, contractors, legal advisors, and other delivery partners.
These are hands-on roles requiring strong day-to-day delivery focus, risk management, critical thinking, leadership and problem-solving competencies in addition to the ability to work across internal teams, external partners, and government representatives with clarity, confidence, and accountability.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, the ability to manage procurement, supply chain, and provide strategic leadership to oversee overall project execution. A clear understanding and familiarity with design-build delivery models would also be required.
The targeted salary range for this position is $169,744 – $233,398 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package.
