Role: Group Finance Director

About the Role
Our client is a fast-growing business within the transportation and logistics sector with international presence. They have gained good visibility and presence since their inception. They have aggressive growth plans and are currently looking to recruit a Group Finance Director to lead the finance function for the organisation.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead all aspects of finance and accounting. You will ensure that all finance and accounting records are in accordance with international standards and the region is supported by robust financial systems.

In this position, you will play an active role in strategic planning and looking into the strategic direction of the business. You will look into business analysis to support business decisions. You will lead a lean team across various markets internationally and be involved in developing them. You will play an active role advising the business on market potential and looking at strategies to grow the business in a scalable model.

As the organisation is looking to expand organic and inorganically, you will also be involved in corporate development activity like M&A and partnerships.

Requirements

Ideally, you are a degree qualified CPA/CA, with at least 15 years' relevant experience, and at least 5 years in a senior management position. You have proven track record in leading a finance organization. Experience in working with JV partners in the region will be advantageous for this position.

You have experience in building up the finance function for a mid-sized organization. You are analytical and possess a keen commercial acumen. You are IT savvy and some hands-on exposure in an ERP system is ideal.

A proactive and hands-on leader, you possess a can-do' attitude. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical for the success of this role.
