About this role

Occupational Therapist – Neuro or Neuro Pathway | Gold Coast
NeuroVita — Neuro-Focused OT Practice

Early in my career, I had a complex neuro client and knew I wasn't at the standard they needed. When I asked for help, I was told to keep going. That moment never left me. I built NeuroVita so OTs who love neuro get the supervision, support and caseload to do this work properly.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced OT to join a small, clinically focused team doing genuinely meaningful work.

Bring neuro experience and your caseload will be predominantly neuro — stroke, brain injury, Parkinson's, MS, MND, spinal cord injury, CP and more. Still building your neuro skills? You'll start on a transition pathway: a mix of general and neuro clients, with neuro increasing as your confidence and skills grow. Either way, the clinical conversations, the supervision and the standard of practice here are top notch.

Varied work, not just NDIS: you'll see DVA, NIISQ, WorkCover, CTP, aged care and private clients too, so your caseload and our referrals don't hang on one scheme.

New to some of these schemes? No stress — we know each one inside out, and we'll show you exactly what each needs, from referral to discharge.

Home and community-based visits across the Gold Coast region, with telehealth flexibility.

Salary and Benefits

  • $90,000–$115,000 + superannuation (full-time, pro rata for part-time), negotiable based on experience
  • Monthly bonus when you exceed your KPI — we'll walk you through exactly how it works at interview
  • Max level flexibility — choose your days (3–5 a week) and shape your schedule around your life and your caseload
  • Vehicle allowance — $1.01 per km for work travel between clients
  • ‍Weekly individual clinical supervision — structured, neurologically focused, genuinely useful
  • Monthly peer supervision — group case discussion with the team
  • Regular lunch and learns — internal CPD on neuro-specific topics
  • CPD support — up to $3,000 per year for relevant external CPD, with more available for activities that benefit the practice
  • A connected mobile team — daily team chat, weekly coffee and supervision, a monthly buddy co-visit and a monthly team social budget
  • A path to grow — as we expand, there's a clear pathway into senior, co-lead and practice manager roles
  • Structured support to build efficient clinical workflows — so admin doesn't build up and become overwhelming
  • Equipment and resources provided including work phone and laptop

KPI and Workload

We're transparent about this because vague promises about sustainable workloads have burned too many good OTs.

KPI: 25 billable hours per week (full-time, pro rata for part-time).

This includes face-to-face sessions, report writing, AT assessments and trials, home modification assessments, and all other claimable NDIS and funding line items. Not just face-to-face time. Travel is counted at 50% toward your KPI target.

We've done the maths on what a realistic home-visit neurological caseload actually looks like. For an experienced OT, 25 hours is achievable while keeping clinical quality and documentation high — and we'll back you with the systems and support to do it.

Why NeuroVita

At NeuroVita, you'll have a caseload built with you, not handed to you. We plan your mix together, set clear goals for where you want to grow, and adjust as your confidence builds.

Support is always close: weekly supervision from someone who has spent years in neuro and genuinely wants to see you grow, a team that's a message away, and clinical conversations that are real.

If neuro is where you want to focus — this is the place to do it properly.

To Apply

Send your resume and a brief cover letter to admin@neurovita.com.au telling us what draws you to neurological and complex physical OT. Keep it brief — we care more about your clinical story than your format.

We'll be in touch within 5 business days.

We're interviewing as applications come in, so don't wait for the closing date.

Applications close Sunday 29 November 2026 — or sooner if we find the right person.

Key Requirements

  • Registered OT with AHPRA — general registration
  • 2+ years post-graduation experience
  • Neuro experience a bonus — we'll develop it
