Join Arkansas's Premier Orthopaedic Trauma Team at the State's Only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Rehabilitation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR, invites applications for a full-time Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon. This is a high-impact opportunity to join the state’s largest and most experienced group of fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialists, practicing at Arkansas's only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center. The selected candidate will immediately become a full-time faculty member within the UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Rehabilitation, receiving an academic appointment within the UAMS College of Medicine. New fellowship graduates and experienced orthopaedic trauma surgeons are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of our outstanding team of three established orthopaedic trauma surgeons at UAMS Health, collectively dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive orthopaedic trauma services for the entire state and surrounding regions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to and help drive the growth of our orthopaedic trauma division.

Clinical responsibilities include performing orthopaedic trauma surgical cases at UAMS Medical Center and The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH), both located on the main UAMS campus. Outpatient orthopaedic trauma care is provided in the specialty clinic within The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital, which is also home to the Department’s academic offices, cadaver labs, and teaching facilities.
The ideal candidate will also enjoy being part of an academic environment that includes active participation in the education and training of residents and medical students, as well as engagement in scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine and result in peer-reviewed publications and presentations at regional and national meetings.

Requirements
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopaedic surgery residency.
- Board certified/board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma (current fellows and established/experienced orthopaedic trauma surgeons are encouraged to apply).
- Eligible for an Arkansas medical license.
