Our Solara Medical Supplies team, an AdaptHealth company, specializes in helping people with diabetes manage their condition confidently and conveniently through personalized service, mail-order fulfillment, and education. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our closed-door pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, non-retail environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients managing diabetes.
Pharmacist
Responsible for filling and distributing prescriptions to patients within a nice pharmacy specializing in diabetes care. Advises patients on their prescription and OTC therapies, or use of DME and diabetic devices, including interactions and side effects. Prepare orders by reviewing and interpreting physician instructions and identifying any clinical or therapeutic concerns. Dispense diabetic supplies by accurately preparing, labeling, packaging and shipping of required products. Supports patient care by monitoring therapy needs and recommending appropriate interventions.
Job Duties:
- Verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications in a timely manner and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Support diabetic patients by providing guidance on glucose monitoring systems, insulin pump supplies, and medication usage.
- Collaborate with our clinical and customer care teams to promote safe, effective therapy and improve adherence.
- Identify and resolve potential medication issues, including interactions or therapeutic duplications.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records within pharmacy software systems.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, inventory control, and continuous process improvements.
- Stay current on advancements in diabetes care, CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) technology, and therapeutic trends.
- Monitor the health and progress of patients to ensure that they are using their medications safely and effectively.
- Proficient in utilizing pharmacy management systems, Microsoft Suite items; and other vendor platforms.
- Teach pharmacy students serving as interns in preparation for their graduation or licensure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel to other AdaptHealth locations if necessary.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from an accredited educational institute is required (BS in Pharmacy, PharmD)
- Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience (mail-order, closed-door, or specialty experience preferred)
- Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist License
- Registered with the applicable Board(s) of Pharmacy and in good standing
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license
- Willing and able to obtain additional state Pharmacy licenses within a 12-month period
- In-person schedule: traditional hours of operation are M-F, 8AM-4:30PM PT. This may change or slightly adjust as the business requires
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Mental alertness and ability to analyze large amounts of data and report in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
- Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.
- Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
- Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
