| Job Summary | The Senior Academic Advising Director provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight for academic advising across assigned colleges and student populations. This role ensures that advising practices align with accreditation and licensure standards, national best practices, and the University of Kentucky's mission to promote student success, retention, and timely degree completion. In collaboration with faculty, staff, and campus partners, the position drives the development and implementation of student success initiatives, advising policies, and assessment strategies that elevate the student experience. The incumbent fosters a data-informed culture of continuous improvement, supervising and mentoring advising professionals while promoting staff engagement, professional growth, and accountability. Representing the University on committees and professional associations, this leader cultivates campus and community partnerships that enhance experiential learning, strengthen workforce readiness, and connect academic pathways to post-graduate opportunities. Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success. Multiple positions available.
