Company Profile
Driftless Pride Choir
Company Overview
Driftless Pride Choir is a recently-formed mixed-voice (SATB), self-auditioned, volunteer ensemble of adult LGBTQ+ and allied singers in the “Driftless Region,” where Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa come together. We aspire to develop an eclectic repertoire of music that creates connections of acceptance, belonging, and community in ways that entertain, educate, delight, comfort, and challenge. We look forward to embarking on our inaugural season.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit community arts organization. We affirm ourselves as “a kindred space for Queer and Allied voices.” We have an active group of founding members with a large and growing list of others expressing interest in joining. DPC rehearses weekly in La Crosse, WI. We are an organizational member of GALA Choruses and Chorus America.
Company History
On January 29, 2026, a group of twenty-three prospective choristers met in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to share their dreams and aspirations for an LGBTQ+ and allied choral ensemble in the Driftless Region. Two months later, Driftless Pride Choir was officially incorporated as a charitable community arts organization. Founding members have come with wide ranges of musical backgrounds, including some with significant experience within GALA Choruses ensembles.
