About Us
IOT is a well-established allied health provider supporting participants across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Macarthur regions of New South Wales. Our team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists and exercise physiologists who work together to deliver high quality services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We support adults and young people with a wide range of disabilities, focusing on practical outcomes that increase independence and participation in everyday life. Our approach is holistic and capacity-building, working closely with participants, their families and support networks to develop meaningful goals and provide therapy, education and tailored advice.
Collaboration is central to how we work. Clinicians work closely across disciplines and benefit from the guidance of experienced team leaders who provide regular supervision, mentoring and clinical support.
At IOT, we are equally committed to supporting our team. We invest in efficient systems, strong administrative support and modern facilities so clinicians can focus on delivering excellent therapy. We also prioritise professional development and foster a workplace culture that is collaborative, flexible and genuinely supportive.
Company History
Our History
IOT was established in 2017 when the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was introduced in the Illawarra region. Starting with just two occupational therapists and a subcontractor, the practice was founded with a simple goal: to provide high quality, participant-centred therapy that helps people live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Since those early days, IOT has grown steadily in response to the needs of the communities we support. What began as a small occupational therapy service has expanded into a multidisciplinary team that now includes physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and allied health assistants. Over time we have also expanded our geographic reach, opening services across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Macarthur regions and later establishing a presence in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Despite this growth, our focus has remained the same; delivering practical, collaborative therapy that improves quality of life for the people we work with. We continue to build a team of passionate clinicians who value respect, flexibility, professional development and a commitment to continuous improvement.
