- Associate Director of Student and Family Supports
Description
The Associate Director of Student and Family Supports serves as a system leader responsible for designing, directing, and ensuring coherence of districtwide student support systems, including behavior response, mental health services, family support access, and attendance. This role ensures that student experiences are consistent, equitable, and aligned to district expectations across all schools by establishing clear operational frameworks, decision-making protocols, and accountability structures. The Associate Director leads the district's behavior response system, including guidance on discipline, crisis response, and complex student situations, and provides oversight of mental health service delivery models and partnerships to ensure alignment with district priorities and student needs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, education, public administration or other relevant area.
- Experience in student support systems, behavior systems leadership, mental health coordination, education leadership, or related fields.
- Experience leading district-level behavior, discipline, or mental health systems strongly preferred.
- Washington state principal and/or program administrator certification required.
- Five or more years of experience in social work, non-profit management, education, public administration or a combination thereof.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience or other relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in equity work including, but not limited to, collaborating with various communities (especially underserved communities), dismantling systemic racism, and navigating community resources and employee engagement initiatives.
