Starting Salary: $ 90,144.00/Year

This position is open to the public and all current City employees covered under the City's collective bargaining agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5 . Mission : CDPH works with communities and partners to create an equitable, safe, resilient and Healthy Chicago.
Under general supervision, the class provides professional therapeutic treatment services in a supervisory and administrative capacity, and performs related duties as required
ESSE N T IAL DU T I E S
• Maintain 72 hours of productivity per month of direct client hours
• Complete required client progress notes within 72 hours of interaction
• Document outreach to assigned new cases within 3 business days and conduct follow-up (at least 3 calls) to schedule or close-out within 10 business days.
• Complete IM+CANS for all new clients within 45 days of initial visit (diagnosis entered & IMCANS started at first visit) and minimally every 180 days with revised treatment plans
• Provide patient-centered treatment plans with discharge planning and time-based goals at both initial IATP and every 6 months at minimum
• Appropriately use evidence-based therapies in accordance with Rule 132/140, CARF accreditation standards, and other relevant City of Chicago and MHC policies regarding documentation required and interventions delivered.
• Participate in team-based centralized intake, utilization review and other compliance-related expectations as assigned
• Maintain licensure requirements by attending relevant trainings
• Be an active participant in staff meetings, consultations, and supervisions with all CDPH activities

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work, plus three years of professional mental health experience; or a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, Pastoral Counseling, Art Therapy, or Educational Psychology, plus one year post-master's supervised practicum carried out in a mental health setting, as well as three additional years of professional mental health experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, provided that the minimum degree requirement is met
Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications:
This position requires individuals to be Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts (LPHA) requiring possession of any one or more of the following clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and/or Licensed Professional Psychologist (LCP).
Selection Criteria
This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a written exercise and/or a skills assessment test as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
Desired Skills and or Licenses:
- Supervisory experience related to the responsibilities of the position
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Previous experience diagnosing adult clients with symptoms of brief psychosis, bipolar disorders, depression with psychosis and schizophrenia
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Bilingual (Spanish)
