Academic Ophthalmology Opportunities
The MetroHealth System, a major teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is seeking Comprehensive Ophthalmologists, as well as ophthalmologists with fellowship training or additional expertise in Neuro-Ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, and Cornea, to join our growing academic faculty.

Successful candidates will join an established faculty practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care while educating the next generation of ophthalmologists.
Academic & Clinical Practice
Faculty members enjoy a balanced academic practice that includes:
- Comprehensive outpatient and surgical ophthalmology
- Teaching and mentoring medical students and ophthalmology residents
- Supervision of residents in both clinic and operating room settings
- Opportunities for clinical research, scholarly activity, and academic advancement
MetroHealth's Eye Clinic serves as a major clinical training site for the Cole Eye Institute Ophthalmology Residency Program, providing faculty with meaningful teaching opportunities and collaboration with outstanding trainees.
Physicians are supported by:
- Experienced ophthalmic technicians and clinical support staff
- State-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment
- Two fully equipped ambulatory surgery centers
- A collaborative multidisciplinary academic environment
Academic appointment and faculty rank through Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
