Description
Manage drafting copy and posting for the campaign’s social media accounts, including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube
Plan and operate the campaign’s social media calendar
Establish the campaign’s influencer outreach program
Help identify statewide video validators and work with campaign Multimedia Producer to execute recordings
Work with new media outlets to pitch latest campaign updates and boost engagement & following
Manage the social media accounts of theLieutenant Governor candidate
Create agendas and write scripts for filming sessions with candidate and Lieutenant Governor candidate
Edit and produce footage from events, both mobile and high-res
Requirements
1-2 cycles of work experience in a digital role on a campaign, political organization, non-profit, advocacy group, or similar.
A sophisticated understanding of social media platforms and algorithms, including new media
Experience writing and editing content that captures and maintains the principal’s voice and priorities
Excellent understanding of Premiere Pro and other softwares such as CapCut and Canva
A good sense of internet humor
Amateur photography and videography skills
Excellent video editing and producing skills
Experience managing a team of junior or mid-level staff is preferred
Impeccable attention to detail, political instincts, and communication skills
Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends
