Dermatology Physician Assistant (PA-C)
General & Medical Dermatology for a private practice
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join a busy dermatology practice focused on general and medical dermatology. The PA will work collaboratively with board-certified dermatologists to provide comprehensive skin care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of dermatologic conditions.
Requirements
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common and complex dermatologic conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, infections, benign and malignant skin lesions)
Perform full-body skin examinations and skin cancer screenings
Conduct minor dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, electrodessication, and excisions (based on experience and training)
Assist with and/or manage follow-up care for patients undergoing skin cancer treatment, including surgical cases
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and patient education
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate closely with supervising physician(s) in accordance with state regulations
Participate in quality improvement and clinical protocols as needed
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA certification required (PA-C)
Active or eligible for state licensure
Prior dermatology experience preferred 1 plus year
Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting
Experience with dermatologic procedures and surgical assisting
Familiarity with EMR systems
Interest in skin cancer detection and management
Cosmetic dermatology experience is a plus (optional, if applicable)
