- Development Director
Description
Dallas Pets Alive is one of the fastest-growing animal welfare organizations in North Texas, working to create a more compassionate, innovative, and sustainable future for pets and the people who love them.
Over the past several years, DPA has expanded dramatically in both impact and reach, growing lifesaving programs, integrating Dogs Matter and the Humane Society of Dallas County, and developing innovative community-based initiatives that are changing the way animal welfare is approached in our region.
We are entering an exciting next chapter of growth and are looking for a Development Director who is energized by the opportunity to help build what comes next. If you are someone who thrives in a mission-driven, fast-moving environment, loves building relationships, and wants your work to directly impact lives every single day, we want to meet you!

This is an opportunity to help shape and grow the fundraising engine of a rapidly evolving organization making a real impact in North Texas. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on fundraiser who is excited to build, create, connect, and lead. The ideal candidate is both visionary and execution-focused, someone who can think big while also rolling up their sleeves to make things happen. You’ll work closely with the CEO, Board, staff, volunteers, and community partners to grow sustainable funding that supports and expands DPA’s lifesaving mission.
SALARY/PAY RATE: Full-time. Commensurate with experience.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
Building authentic relationships with donors, sponsors, and community leaders
Expanding sustainable revenue streams
Helping DPA grow responsibly and strategically
Creating excitement and engagement around the mission
Bringing creativity, energy, and fresh ideas to fundraising efforts
Helping ensure more animals and families receive lifesaving support

WHO YOU ARE:
A builder and connector
Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment
A self-starter who takes initiative
