Description
The Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program (IPAEP) provides case management and group services to program participants. IPAEP works collaboratively with FCR staff, the MA Department of Public Health (DPH), Probation Departments, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and community partners. The program’s mission is to hold adult perpetrators accountable for abusive and controlling behaviors while providing education to support meaningful change.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Management Team to establish, monitor, and evaluate program goals and outcomes.
- Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual data for funders and program development.
- Identify and address operational barriers in partnership with the Management Team.
- Conduct long and short-range planning to ensure programs remain responsive to community needs and funder requirements (DPH, DCF, and others).
- Support hiring, supervision, and evaluation of IPAEP and Strong Fathers staff and interns.
- Develop and deliver community education, training, program outreach, and marketing activities.
- Maintain a caseload for intakes and group assignments.
- Complete all required case management documentation and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership and oversight of IPAEP/Strong Fathers programming, including staff development and training.
- Provide clinical supervision to group facilitators and interns.
- Facilitate weekly IPAEP team meetings.
- Some evening work is required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical social work or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
- DPH IPAEP certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, duty to warn, mandated reporting, and the civil/criminal justice systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated initiative, planning ability, and organizational skills. - Ability to engage in self-reflection and work collaboratively to address systemic oppression (racism, sexism, transphobia, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including non-English speaking families, LGBTQ participants, and individuals with histories of substance abuse and/or mental health challenges.
- Knowledge of child protection and criminal justice systems as they relate to survivors and families (preferred).
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Flexibility and willingness to support all aspects of agency operations.
- All other duties as assigned.
