St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time position of Director of Cocurricular Music in the Department of Athletics, Performance, and Competitive Programs.  This position will lead a strategic initiative to build on the existing choir structure to create, and execute, a strategic vision for the expansion of cocurricular music programming at the University.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Director will oversee all aspects of operating two cocurricular choirs. This includes budgeting, scheduling, coordinating and programming for performances, and all other administrative aspects of directing a choir. This work will begin by building on the University’s existing treble choir and the addition of a second choir in the coming year.  
• Recruitment of qualified students to the cocurricular music programs.  Work directly with admissions throughout the prospect recruitment process to enroll students to the University and increase participation in vocal performance offerings.  Clear recruitment goals are established by the Vice President of Athletics, Performance, and Competitive Programs, with the goal of rapidly growing participation across vocal performance offerings.
• Establish artistic direction for music programming at the University that ensures the development of a vibrant cocurricular music atmosphere, and creates positive, and meaningful experiences for students within the programs.  
• Collaborate directly with the University’s Center for Spirituality and Social Justice and the Director of Music and Liturgy, and University Events when hosting events that include joint performances.
