Role Overview: The Director or Development & Enterprise Officer owns Urban Bridge’s financial resource development - uniting fundraising, grants, donor stewardship, community partnerships, earned revenue, and organizational vision into one strategy for long-term sustainability. The DDE leads the annual development plan while building and growing social-enterprise and earned-income streams that diversify UB’s funding beyond grants and gifts. Grounded in UB’s mission to infuse hope into youth through pathways to health, wholeness, and economic opportunity in Northeast Oklahoma City, and its 4 E’s (Education, Exposure, Empowerment, Economic Development), the DDE advances the organization’s strategic priorities to diversify funding and fortify its social entrepreneurship model.
Role Trajectory: Director to C-Suite (Chief Development & Enterprise Officer)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Development & Fundraising
- Design, implement, and own the annual development plan to meet revenue and sustainability goals.
- Lead grant strategy, writing, and management across the full grant lifecycle.
- Cultivate and steward major, mid-level, and community donors and funding partners.
- Oversee donor communications, fundraising events, campaigns, and development marketing.
Social Enterprise & Earned Revenue
- Build, launch, and grow earned-income and social-enterprise ventures that diversify UB’s funding base.
- Advance and fortify UB’s social entrepreneurship model in line with the strategic plan, including youth-facing economic-opportunity initiatives.
- Identify & develop revenue streams, partnerships, & business opportunities that align with UB’s mission.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Cultivate connections that result in community, financial, and organizational partnerships.
- Represent Urban Bridge in public settings, events, and community forums.
- Lead community storytelling that increases UB’s visibility, relationships, and impact.
Vision & Program Innovation
- Champion UB’s creative vision, branding, and program innovation aligned with the mission.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leaders to align vision, funding, and organizational strategy.
Financial Sustainability & Alignment
- Own the path to financial sustainability and report on progress to the CEO and Board.
- Partner with the COO to track fundraising performance and align revenue with budget goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of nonprofit development leadership, with a proven record securing funding / leading campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience building earned-revenue, social-enterprise, or entrepreneurial ventures.
- Strong relationship management, community partnership, and public representation skills.
- Experience with vision, branding, or program innovation in a mission-driven setting.
- Passion for youth, equity-driven impact, and the realities of Northeast Oklahoma City.
