Picacho Hills Country Club is a scenic semi-private golf and country club located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, featuring an 18-hole championship course with views of the Organ Mountains. The club is focused on delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and public play while continuing to grow programming, instruction, tournaments, and overall club culture.

The Director of Golf / Head Golf Professional is responsible for overseeing all golf operations and leading the golf experience for members, guests, tournaments, instruction, and daily play. This individual will serve as the face of the golf operation while driving service standards, player development, merchandising, and revenue growth.

Experience Required

• PGA Class A Professional preferred
• 3+ years of golf operations leadership experience
• Strong background in customer service, instruction, and tournament operations
• Experience in semi-private, resort, or private club environments preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of merchandising, budgeting, and golf technology systems
• Passion for growing the game and creating a welcoming golf culture

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead all daily golf operations including tee sheet management, tournaments, outings, and pace of play
• Provide exceptional member and guest service in a semi-private club environment
• Manage and mentor golf staff, outside services, and pro shop personnel
• Develop and grow instructional programs, clinics, junior golf, and member events
• Oversee merchandising, inventory, and golf shop operations
• Coordinate tournaments, club events, and leagues using golf management software
• Collaborate with course maintenance and club leadership to ensure a first-class golf experience
• Promote the club through community engagement and member relations
• Support membership growth and retention initiatives
