Description
Directs the development, implementation, and effective management of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) member-facing programs and services. Mentors and leads a dynamic team in successful key accounts, energy services, technology, modernization, strategic planning, and leadership development activities to enhance relationships between MRES, members and their communities by performing the following duties.
Other duties may be assigned.
Develops, recommends and directs programs to promote customer loyalty and maintain positive relationships with MRES members and their customers.
Directs and monitors the development of personal contacts with member utilities and their customers, trade allies, and other consultants and vendors for purposes of strategic relationship development, demand management and increased energy efficiency.
Develops, prioritizes, recommends and directs data-driven, performance-based program development.
Provides strategic leadership for coordinated implementation of community and leadership development, demand management, energy efficiency and efficient electrification efforts with MRES members and their customers consistent with MRES strategic goals and direction.
Directs the development and implementation of strategies to promote various MRES member programs to include, but not limited to, the Municipal Power Advantage (MPA), Ambassador, Community Sponsorship, Bright Energy Solutions, Demand Response, Advanced Metering Infrastructure and Smart Grid, and other MRES programs.
Directs the development and implementation of strategies to educate members on the value of MRES energy services programs through collaborative efforts with members to realize maximum program benefit.
Identifies and directs the development of new products and services and collaborates with the communications and marketing team to inform and authorize the marketing and utilization of products and services.
Develops, recommends, and directs the technical support and ensures the excellence of experience lifecycle delivery of products and services for members and their customers.
Develops departmental budget requirements with divisions with input from vice president.
Represents MRES on industry, development, and project committees, task forces, and conferences as assigned.
Creates, maintains, and oversees proper documentation of projects, data, and software related to this position.
Keeps abreast of relevant profession, industry, and interutility developments.
Travel up to 20% of the work schedule with occasional overnight stays.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and ten years related experience managing a similar division to include a minimum of five years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with a wide variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Contact Management systems and Internet software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
