TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY
The Town of Indian River Shores, Florida is seeking a qualified individual to serve as
Director of Public Safety. The ideal candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years
of demonstrated experience in emergency services or law enforcement with a
minimum of five (5) years in senior administration to include personnel
management, procurement and budgeting. The ideal candidate will also possess
credentials and experience to include certifications in law enforcement, and/or
paramedic/firefighter. The Town of Indian River Shores reserves the right to accept
any combination of education, certifications, licensees and experience to satisfy
the above requirements.
This position reports directly to the Town Manager. As part of the Town’s Emergency
Management Team, the Director of Public Safety is required to remain onsite, or at
any other appointed alternate disaster response center before, during and after any
storm or emergency event.
Salary range: $160,000 to $170,000
