City of Newcastle is seeking an exceptional executive leader to join as Executive Director City Infrastructure, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and forming part of a collaborative Executive Leadership Team.
The role sits at the centre of how the city plans, delivers and maintains its infrastructure, with responsibility for a capital works program of approximately $130M–$150M annually and leadership of a large, multidisciplinary directorate of around 450 people.
This is a critical leadership role during a period of transformation, with a clear mandate to strengthen delivery performance, governance and organisational discipline across a complex operating environment.
You will play a key role in aligning strategy, resources and delivery, building capability across the directorate and leading a high-performing workforce to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for the community.

About you
You are an experienced executive leader with a background in infrastructure, engineering or asset-intensive environments.
You bring a proven track record delivering major capital programs, lifting organisational performance and driving improved delivery outcomes. You operate confidently in complex, politically sensitive environments and are able to influence, align and lead at scale.
You are a visible, values-led leader who builds capability, fosters accountability and delivers results.
