JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Executive Director
Job Summary: This is a full-time position of37.5 hours a week. There will be thirteen paid holidays per year, and the employee will earn 1 day annual leave and 1 sick day for each month of employment. The primary task of the Executive Director is to supervise the overall operation of the agency, including the quantity and quality of work, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Other tasks such as interacting with the Board of Directors of the agency, HUD officials, the elected city and county officials, and administrators of other agencies; marketing the agency programs; budgeting; and evaluating agency programs are also included in this position.
Knowledge Requirements: This position requires as a minimum the ability to read and understand the regulations and policies of federal, state, and local government; the ability to write planning documents, general accounting, grant applications, and reports; the ability to coordinate the work of the agency staff; the ability to be an advisor to a Board of Directors as well as carry out the directives of the Board of Directors; the ability to direct procurement and
property control; and the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, property owners, elected and appointed officials and staff of other agencies.
Experience Requirements: The minimum experience requirements are five years of experience in a job/jobs which include the overall operation of a division of an agency and included planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating. It is essential for the executive director to have experience with written and oral communication.
Additional Requirements: This job does not have any special physical requirements, as most job functions can be performed sitting or standing. The employee will not be required to supply any tools, equipment, or office supplies.
