Kirkwood National Golf Club & Cottages is a championship, semi-private 18-hole facility located in historic Holly Springs, Mississippi - just 35 miles southeast of Memphis and roughly 30 minutes north of Oxford, home of the University of Mississippi. Since opening in 1995, Kirkwood National has consistently earned high rankings from Golf Digest and was recently voted into the M Club for Best Golf Course in Mississippi Magazine's Best of Mississippi 2026.

Set among bluffs, winding creeks, and rolling wooded terrain, the par-72 course plays up to 7,129 yards from the championship tees, with six tee boxes accommodating every skill level. Golfers navigate seven lakes, numerous sand traps, and dramatic elevation changes across lush Bermuda fairways and greens, complemented by a full practice facility with putting and chipping greens.

The clubhouse features a full-service golf shop with a snack bar serving hot dogs, sandwiches, and alcohol. Six on-site, four-bedroom cottages sleep up to eight guests each, offering flexible accommodations for golf groups, corporate retreats, family reunions, and weekend getaways.

Experience Required

• PGA Member or active PGA Associate (enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program)
• Prior experience as a Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional preferred, ideally one year or more
• Candidates with substantial experience in another field who bring strong leadership, business, or customer service skills will also be considered
• Given the scope of this role, candidates should be prepared to operate independently with minimal onboarding

Essential Responsibilities

This role requires close collaboration with ownership to drive the overall success of the course, with a primary focus on maximizing daily fee rounds and increasing revenue. The Director of Golf will manage pro shop and cart staff to ensure the efficient, friendly delivery of a premier guest and member experience.

• Partner closely with ownership to strategically grow daily fee rounds, direct play activities, and overall course revenue
• Organize, promote, and execute profitable tournaments and outings
• Manage, merchandise, and actively sell golf inventory to maximize retail revenue
• Supervise pro shop and cart staff, ensuring consistent, friendly service standards
• Communicate professionally and effectively with guests, members, staff, and ownership at all times

• Starting salary range: $55,000-$65,000
