Arkansas Children's, in partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Surgeon to join our growing team at Arkansas Children's Northwest (ACNW) in Springdale, Arkansas. About Arkansas Children’s & Arkansas Children's Northwest:
Arkansas Children’s is the only healthcare system in the state solely dedicated to caring for Arkansas’ 850,000 children. The private, nonprofit organization includes two pediatric hospitals with 361 licensed beds, a pediatric research institute and USDA nutrition center, a philanthropic foundation, a nursery alliance, statewide clinics, and numerous education and outreach programs—all focused on fulfilling its promise to define, discover, and deliver unprecedented child health.
Arkansas Children’s Northwest (ACNW), located in Springdale, serves the rapidly growing Northwest Arkansas region and surrounding communities. As the region continues to experience significant growth, ACNW is expanding to meet the increasing need for specialized pediatric care. The campus currently includes an inpatient unit, which is expanding in 2026; a surgical unit with five operating rooms; outpatient clinics offering more than 20 pediatric subspecialties; diagnostic and imaging services; occupational therapy; and Northwest Arkansas’ only pediatric emergency department.
As part of ACNW’s continued growth and commitment to providing a higher level of care closer to home, the Arkansas Children’s Board has approved the expansion of Critical Care services, including the development of a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at ACNW. This expansion represents an exciting opportunity to help build and shape a growing Critical Care program while playing an integral role in advancing the level of pediatric care available throughout Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding region.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Surgery Fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery
- Commitment to academic medicine, clinical excellence, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Interest in growing a thriving clinical practice and expanding surgical services
