Description

Icicle River Middle School (IRMS) is an award-winning middle school with a highly innovative staff and a high percentage of Nationally Board Certified teachers. IRMS is located in Central Washington, nestled in the heart of the Cascade Mountains at the base of 8,000-foot peaks.  Our school district encompasses the communities of Peshastin, Dryden, Leavenworth, Plain, and Lake Wenatchee, making it one of the largest geographical districts in the state. IRMS includes grades six through eight and also includes a preschool, the Kodiak Cubs. We provide a range of course offerings, including programs geared toward college and career preparation and general education. Current middle school enrollment is about 269 FTE. 

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND PERFERENCES:

Master’s degree in school administration, educational leadership, or equivalent 
Current Washington State P-12 principal endorsement
Three years teaching experience at the secondary school level
Bilingual proficiency preferred (English/Spanish)
Five years teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
Three years administrative experience at the secondary level preferred
Middle school experience preferred
CTE certification preferred
Experience with the AVID program preferred
Experience with Special Education and inclusionary practices preferred
Experience with trauma-informed practices preferred
