Description

We are looking to add to our team a full-time funeral director and embalmer and also an apprentice! If you're looking for a faster paced funeral service career then you may be a good match for us. We are an 800 call/year family-owned company serving a large area including Kankakee County and parts of Iroquois, Will, and Grundy counties. You will be asked to be on call approximately one night during the week, and one night every other weekend. Job duties will include embalming and cosmetic work, making removals from places of death, making funeral arrangements with families, and directing funerals. Everyone gets every other weekend off and one weekday off every other week. You will receive full heath insurance benefits, a mobile phone, yearly clothing allowance, and vestment in our company's 401K. Everyone starts with 2 weeks (14 days) vacation and 1 week (7 days) of sick leave, so 28 total days of PTO. Inexpensive housing available if interested.

Requirements

Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer or apprentice in the State of Illinois.

Must live close enough or be willing to move close enough to be able to be on call.
