Locums Family Medicine Physician in Guthrie Center, Iowa - Clinic And Rounding, Travel Included

Blend outpatient clinic care with daily inpatient rounding in a rural practice setting. This role offers continuity across clinic, hospital, and nursing home patients with shared physician call coverage.

Practice & Cases

• Mix of outpatient primary care and inpatient rounding
• Care for patients across all age groups
• Chronic disease management, acute visits, and preventive care
• Typical office procedures including lesion removal and laceration repair

Schedule

• Monday through Friday coverage
• Morning hospital rounds followed by afternoon clinic
• Shared call rotation approximately every third week
• Weekend rounding responsibilities when assigned to call

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Iowa license required
• ACLS, BLS, DEA, and PALS required

Logistics

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
• Open to Interstate Medical Licensure Compact physicians with an active Letter of Qualification
