The Role
We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Interventional Radiologist to serve as Medical Director of our DMV women's health clinic. You will lead the clinic clinically and operationally — performing outpatient embolization procedures (with a focus on uterine artery embolization), overseeing day-to-day operations, and shaping how care is delivered as we grow. You will also spend a few procedure days each rotation at our partner MSK sites performing musculoskeletal embolization.

You'll be onboarded to Embolix's outpatient care model and protocols, supported by a dedicated procedural and clinic team so you can focus on patients and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director of the women's health clinic, providing clinical leadership and overseeing day-to-day operations
• Perform outpatient embolization procedures, including UAE at the women's health clinic and MSK embolization at partner sites
• Build relationships with referring and partner physicians in the region
• Ensure a superior experience for every patient, from consultation through follow-up

Case Details

• Outpatient procedures performed in an office-based setting
• Minimally invasive, fluoroscopy-guided procedures on sedated patients
• Typically 4–6 cases per procedure day, supported by an experienced team

Requirements

Qualifications

• MD/DO, board certified or board eligible in Interventional Radiology (or Diagnostic Radiology with VIR fellowship)
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in [DC / Maryland / Virginia — specify states where sites are located]
• Comfortable in high-acuity clinical settings, with precision, focus, and a calm presence for patients and colleagues
• Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to help build a pioneering outpatient women's health practice

Schedule

• 1 week on, 1 week off (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm during on weeks)
• No call, no weekends, no hospital rounding
• In-person: primary women's health clinic in [location], with procedure days at partner MSK sites in the DMV area

Compensation & Benefits

• $400,000 annual guarantee plus production bonus
