- Mission Advancement and Development Director
Description
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Mission Advancement & Development Director will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and will work closely with the CEO, COO, Board of Directors, and key volunteers to execute a multi-year capital campaign, strengthen donor infrastructure, develop and execute our grant strategy and ensure long-term financial sustainability for the YMCA. The Director will play a critical role in shaping the future of the YMCA of Harrison County and ensuring the organization has the resources necessary to serve the community for generations to come.
The capital campaign will support the building of a new facility, a building of the future, on our campus. The first phase of the project, a much-needed childcare center, has been approved. Upon its completion, the center will have a direct impact on business development in and around the surrounding areas. To complete the entire project, the Mission Advancement & Development Director will create and execute a capital campaign that will sell our vision and ensure we raise funds to complete the project. With a 6,000-member database, foot traffic in excess of 12,000 a month, and an existing database in Bloomerang, the Director will have the resources to be successful with the campaign as well as creating sponsorship opportunities, an annual campaign and a grant strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a traditional nonprofit fundraising background with demonstrated success in relationship-driven revenue generation. Crucial to this position, the candidate will have experience engaging confidently in financial dialogue and be able to articulate the YMCA’s mission in ways that inspire philanthropic investment.
