- Occupational Therapist Founding Clinician
Description
We’re looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to establish OT at our Keilor clinic.
Keilor Village Therapy Co is a small, family-centred paediatric practice in Keilor Village. We already have speech pathology well established across two clinic spaces. We do not yet have occupational therapy — and we want the right clinician to help us build that properly, not bolt it on.
This is not a “join a large OT team and pick up leftover clients” role. You would be our first OT. You would help shape how OT is delivered here: assessment and intervention approach, documentation, NDIS reporting, equipment and resources, and how we work alongside our speech pathologists and families.
The role
Build and deliver OT in clinic, with community / school visits as the service develops
Complete assessments, therapy, and reports (including NDIS-related documentation)
Work with existing speech pathology clients and families where OT is clinically indicated
Help set up practical systems: templates, resources, clinical processes, and a sustainable caseload
Contribute to how we grow OT over the next 12–24 months (including future hiring)
Participate in team collaboration — we are small on purpose
Who this suits
AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist
Several years of experience
Comfortable being the first / only OT on site (for now!), with external supervision funded
Interested in service development, not only a full clinical diary from week one
Clear communicator with families, schools, and other therapists
Current WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain), and driver’s licence
New graduates and early-career clinicians are welcome to apply for future roles as the OT service grows. This particular role needs someone who can practice independently and help us set the standard.
What we offer
A real say in how OT is set up, rather than inheriting someone else’s model
No billable-hour grind culture and a small team that already works closely with families
Admin support so you are not building a practice and doing reception
Funded external OT supervision
PD support
Flexibility on days / hours for the right person
If you have been looking for a clinic where OT is wanted, not squeezed in, we’d like to talk.
Apply with your CV and a short note on what “setting up OT well” would look like in a small paediatric practice.
