Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic team specializing in upper extremity rehabilitation. This position focuses on evaluation and treatment of patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions, including post-surgical and non-surgical diagnoses. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, motivated, and passionate about helping patients restore function and return to daily activities, work, and sport.
Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity orthopedic conditions

Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician protocols and patient goals

Provide post-operative rehabilitation for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgeries

Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints as appropriate

Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and functional training

Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery expectations

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

Communicate effectively with physicians, therapy staff, and referral sources

Maintain compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards
Requirements
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Current Texas Occupational Therapist license (or eligible for licensure)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Preferred Experience
-
Outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy experience
-
Experience treating upper extremity diagnoses
-
Splinting/orthosis fabrication experience

Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or interest in pursuing CHT certification preferred
