Join an exciting opportunity at Missoula Bone & Joint and Surgery Center, located in the vibrant city of Missoula, MT! As a full-time Occupational Therapist preferred Certified Hand Therapist, you will engage in a dynamic environment focused on excellence in hand therapy. This is a full-time position scheduled for 32 hours per week, with the flexibility to increase to 40 hours as needed. The salary range for this role is $83,000 - $107,000. The regular schedule is Tuesday through Friday. We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to develop their skills in custom bracing and orthotics while working alongside a professional team committed to integrity and safety. This onsite position allows you to build lasting relationships with clients and make a real impact in their recovery journey all the while working as needed with a schedule to fit your lifestyle.
$2,000 sign-on bonus: $1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of 90 days of employment, and the remaining $1,000 will be paid upon successful completion of 6 months of employment.

As an Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality hand therapy services. Your responsibilities will encompass the evaluation of patients, develop personalized plans of care, and execute effective treatment programs tailored to individual needs. You will also conduct re-evaluations to monitor progress and facilitate timely discharges, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with both patients and the healthcare team to communicate treatment goals and progress effectively. What matters most
Candidates must possess a robust skill set and relevant credentials. You should be a graduate of an accredited Occupational or Physical Therapy program, holding specialty certification in Hand Therapy or looking to obtain one, along with national registration and Montana state licensure. A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a practicing hand or occupational therapist is essential, complemented by current BLS or ACLS certifications.
Success in this role requires strong knowledge of managing patients with hand injuries and disorders, along with excellent skills in orthotic fabrication. Candidates must exhibit advanced orthopedic skills and effective communication, allowing for collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals. Upholding strong ethical and moral character is vital, as is familiarity with relevant clinic policies and regulations.

Requirements
Required:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational or Physical Therapy
- Must hold specialty certification or licensure in Hand Therapy
- National registration and Montana state licensure or registration required
- Minimum of one-year clinical experience as a practicing hand therapist
- Current BLS or ACLS
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Strong knowledge of managing patients with hand injury/disorders
- Excellent orthotic fabrication
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Advanced orthopedic skills
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of policies, regulations, requirements of clinic and regulators
Preferred:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic care
- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience
