As an Ophthalmic Technician with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority, you'll do far more than conduct examinations. Imagine starting your day helping a patient preserve their sight and independence. You'll assess, diagnose, educate, and guide patients through complex eye health journeys while working alongside ophthalmologists, physicians, nurses, and community healthcare teams.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $106,158 - $126,809
Northern living allowance $3,700
Bilingual bonus: $1,800 *if applicable

Requirements
Qualifications
- Certification to practice as an Ophthalmic Medical Technician through the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
- Completion of the Stanton Ophthalmic Medical Technology Training Program or another accredited Ophthalmic Medical Technology Training Program.
- Continuing Education: Obtain 27 credits (Technician level) or 36 hours (Technologist level) of continuing education every 3 years to maintain the license as required by JCAHPO.
