Description
Physical Therapist: Sports & Performance | Dimensions Performance & Pelvic Physical Therapy | East Cambridge, MA
Full Time | New Grads Welcome (1 to 2 Years Experience Preferred) | Growth Path to Clinic Director
This Isn't a Typical PT Clinic. That's the Point.
If you've worked in a mill, with 15 minute units, three patients on the schedule at once, and a productivity number breathing down your neck, you already know what we're not.
Dimensions Performance & Pelvic Physical Therapy was built for athletes, run by athletes, treating athletes. Not "athletes" as a buzzword on a website. Actual runners, lifters, golfers, and weekend warriors who show up, and the PTs who understand what it means to want to get back to your sport, not just "function normally." Our patients aren't here because they're settling for whatever's covered. They're here because they want performance care from someone who actually gets it.
Here's what that means for you, day to day:
A full hour with every patient. Not 15 minutes with an aide running the rest. You do the treating, you build the relationship, and you actually have time to do good work.
Real autonomy. You decide how you treat, how you program, and how you structure your day. No forced generic protocols, no corporate playbook telling you how many modalities to bill. We trust you're a clinician, not a technician.
Flexible hours and scheduling. Build a schedule that works for your life, and if you train yourself (you should), we get it, because we're built around that same lifestyle.
Laid back culture, elite standard of care. We're relaxed, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy coming to work, and we hold ourselves to the highest bar in the room for the quality of care we deliver. Those two things aren't in conflict here. They're the whole model.
A team that trains, not just treats. You'll be surrounded by clinicians who lift, run, coach, and compete, not people who read about it. Movement is part of our culture, not a section on a resume.
We train together, literally. We've run a HYROX run club for three years now, meeting every Sunday. Occasional involvement alongside our coaches is expected, along with getting involved in a variety of community events throughout the year.
Room to actually grow. This role has a real path to Clinic Director for the right person, if that's a direction you want to go. It's not mandatory, plenty of great clinicians just want to treat, but the door is open if you want it.
You're not just a provider, you're building something. Your full caseload comes from us. That's not on you to generate. But if your own reputation, following, or network brings people in along the way, we'll notice, and we'll reward it.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Treating a caseload of 25 to 30 patients per week, one on one, full hour sessions
Working with the full spectrum of athletes: runners, golfers, lifters/strength athletes, and the everyday adult athlete who just wants to move and feel good
Coaching through movement patterns, not just handing out a home exercise sheet. You'll be teaching people how to move better, not just rehabbing an injury in isolation
Building genuine relationships with patients who are motivated, engaged, and invested in their own performance
Collaborating with a small, closely knit team of clinicians who push each other and actually like each other
Showing up occasionally to our weekly HYROX run club (Sundays) alongside our coaches, and getting involved in a variety of community events throughout the year
Compensation & Incentives
Salary: $80,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience and certifications (new grads welcome, see requirements above)
Referral incentive: bringing in your own patients is never an expectation of this role, your caseload is provided. But if you do bring people in, you'll be rewarded for it with a bonus, on top of your salary
Health insurance, continuing education support, and dry needling/cert renewal support
Real potential path to Clinic Director for the right person
Why This Role Exists
We're growing, and we're only adding someone who's going to make this place better, not just fill a schedule. If you're tired of being a number in a system that doesn't care how you treat, and you want to work somewhere that takes performance care as seriously as you take your own training, this is that place.
Apply if: you're an athlete, a clinician, and someone who wants ownership over how you practice, not just a job.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Massachusetts PT license (or license eligible)
- Dry needling certification required
- You have to be an athlete yourself, comfortable in the gym, on the run, on the course, wherever your sport is, and genuinely comfortable treating and coaching runners, golfers, lifters, and general adult athletes
- New grads are encouraged to apply. We'll teach you the rest. That said, 1 to 2 years of clinical experience is preferred if you have it.
- Strong communicator, high accountability, comfortable with autonomy (we're not going to micromanage you, we need you to own your caseload)
- Prior HYROX experience is important, though not mandatory. If you haven't done one yet, be ready to start
Bonus points for:
- A secondary coaching certification alongside your PT license (strength & conditioning, running coach, golf performance, etc.)
- Specialized experience in golf performance (e.g. TPI certified), scoliosis management, or pelvic floor therapy. None of these are required, but if you have a niche, we want to hear about it
- Any experience building your own patient following or community. Not required, but it's rewarded if you bring people with you
