Location: On-site at Bloomington Hospital with occasional travel to Bedford, Martinsville or Positive Link
Position: RN - Ambulatory Team Lead
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00a-5:00p

Position Overview:
The RN-Ambulatory Team Lead reflects IU Health's mission, vision, and values, adhering to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance. This role is responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care across the outpatient setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Team Lead serves as the lead clinical nurse, coordinating with leaders, providers, and team members to deliver exemplary care to all patients. The nurse ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and professional nursing standards, including the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead clinical nurse in the outpatient setting, overseeing nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership, providers, and team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate functions across the clinical team to ensure effective, timely patient care.
• Assess patient needs, diagnose, plan, and evaluate care strategies.
• Support staff development, mentorship, and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain knowledge of procedures, equipment, and supplies relevant to outpatient nursing care.
• Understand and apply legal and ethical standards related to nursing practice and patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per department policies.
• Experience & Skills:
- Two years of clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of outpatient procedures, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to coordinate multiple functions effectively for a group of patients.
- Understanding of the legal implications of nursing activities and performance standards.
