Why Join Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center
Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center (SOVSC) is the region's premier 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital, serving pets and families throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. As the only dedicated provider of comprehensive emergency and critical care in the region, SOVSC sees a diverse and complex caseload while providing advanced medicine around the clock.
At SOVSC, you'll join a collaborative team of Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Urgent Care veterinarians supported by a highly trained nursing and technical team. Our culture is built around compassion, innovation, continuous learning, and teamwork-with the resources and infrastructure needed to practice at a high level.
The hospital was established in 2004 to fill a significant gap in specialty and emergency care throughout the region and has grown into a comprehensive regional referral center. Today, our expanded facility includes a dedicated ICU, centralized doctor-treatment areas, advanced CT imaging, state-of-the-art operating suites, and a dedicated contagious ward.
For Criticalists, SOVSC offers the opportunity to practice advanced medicine in a hospital where critically ill patients receive dedicated, highly monitored care. Our ICU utilizes a patient-assignment model, allowing dedicated nurses to remain closely involved with their assigned patients throughout their shifts and respond quickly to changes in clinical status.
