Founded in 1992, Calm Waters Center for Children and Families is a nonprofit organization in Oklahoma City dedicated to helping children and families in their grief journey after a death, divorce or other significant loss by providing free support groups at our center and in schools, private pay counseling and consultation, co-parenting seminars and workplace crisis services.

The Calm Waters mission is to help children and families in their grief journey caused by death, divorce, or other significant loss.

The Calm Waters vision is to be the leading provider of grief support services for children and families throughout Central Oklahoma, serving as a safe place for those who have experienced a loss to receive grief resources, peer support, and hope for the future. Calm Waters is the expert on grief and trauma as it relates to loss, using research-based curriculum and programming.

    SUMMARY Operating under the oversight of the Clinical Director, the Therapist is responsible for providing mental health services to individuals, couples, children, and families impacted by grief and loss. Therapist will work with a wide range of clients, create treatment plans, and diagnostically assess for additional appropriate services as needed.
