Position Summary:
Lahey Clinic is seeking an experienced and collaborative healthcare leader to serve as Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer (SVP, CNO). The SVP, CNO is responsible for providing executive leadership and oversight of nursing services across Lahey Clinic, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting operational excellence, workforce engagement, and organizational goals.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the SVP, CNO works closely with clinical, operational, and system leaders across Beth Israel Lahey Health to advance strategic initiatives, strengthen nursing practice, improve quality and patient safety outcomes, and promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. This leader will oversee nursing operations, support the development and retention of nursing talent, and help position Lahey Clinic to meet the evolving needs of patients, staff, and the communities it serves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing services.
- Advance clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives.
- Lead nursing workforce planning, recruitment, retention, succession planning, and professional development.
- Oversee nursing operations, financial performance, and resource management.
- Collaborate with clinical, academic, and administrative leaders across Beth Israel Lahey Health.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing and Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Finance, or related field required; doctoral degree preferred.
- (DNP or PhD) License Registered Nurse required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including senior-level management responsibility.
- Demonstrated success leading nursing operations within a complex academic medical center or integrated healthcare system.
- Strong financial, strategic planning, operational, and team leadership capabilities.
Pay Range:
$350,000.00 USD – $425,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for additional compensation, which may include performance-based incentive bonuses.
